Unfortunately Interviews Can Feel Uncomfortable At Times But Utilize These Key Tips & Become a Pro!
Here are a few tips that works wonders and helps get you that position you've been waiting for!
1. Understand truly what you want out of the next position & organization you move forward with - not what people around you are expecting out of you.
2. Have a good explanation as to why you are now looking to move on from your current employer. If you are unemployed be prepared to explain why you left your previous employer or why you were let go. Employers have a heart if you are honest as they themselves have gone though hardships in their lives.
3. Be prepared to explain why you believe this organization should hire you over everyone else, even if other candidates have more experience than you or have a stronger educational background. You were born on a specific date and specific time & not like everyone else right? Then set yourself apart from the general candidate population! 4. Research the culture within the organization - this is very important since not everybody has the same personality, likes, and/or dislikes.
5. Research the company inside and out, and also look into their future plans so that you can relate and bring this up within your interview! Show that you too are a forward thinker who would align well with their future goals.
6. Understand the complexity of the role itself, and be ready to showcase why you would be the perfect fit.
7. ASK QUESTIONS!!!! By asking 7-8 solid questions the interviewer(s) see that you are truly interested, and wish to uncover a few key points that are important to the role. GTA Search Group will help cater specific questions for your interview if need be.
8. Dress for Success! Dark coloured suit, solid tie, crisp white shirt/grey, and sleek shoes!
9. Bring 2-3 copies of your resume with you in your Leather Folio. It's always best to have more than less in this case since you never know who else you may meet!
10. Please make sure any social media sites that you are a part of has clean content because some employers will certainly do their due diligence to see who you really are before 8:00am and after 5:01pm! Keep it classy!
